Use the drawing for the exact version supplied. These are the original European-configuration connection images provided for this product.

Actuator wiring — NC / NO options

Use the connection that matches the actuator type. NC and NO are alternative examples, not an instruction to connect both.

Before connecting

Confirm actuator or valve voltage, switching current and control type. The thermostat output must match the connected equipment.

Isolate mains power. Wiring must be completed by a qualified installer using the supplied terminal labels and equipment instructions.

THERMOSTAT FEATURES

Everyday comfort, at the wall

Clear LCD & touch keys

Read the room temperature and adjust the setpoint directly on the tempered-glass front.

Manual or programmed control

The AE-5503D platform supports manual operation and weekly programming: four weekday periods and two off-day periods.

Settings retained

Power-off memory stores settings. Calibration and temperature limits help configure the thermostat for the installation.

Local functions are referenced to the AE-5503D platform manual. Confirm the supplied Matter firmware; local settings are not necessarily exposed in a Matter app.

APPLICATION SETTINGS

Choose how temperature is measured

Internal sensor

Measure the temperature at the thermostat for room comfort.

External sensor

Use the specified external sensor when required by the heating design.

Internal + external

The platform supports combined sensor selection. Configure the floor-temperature warning limit for the floor finish and installation.

External sensor reference: NTC 10 kΩ at 25°C, β = 3950. Confirm the sensor supplied with your selected configuration.

SMART HOME SETUP

Matter control and local settings

In your Matter ecosystem

The current integration focuses on temperature and operating-mode control. Available modes and app layouts depend on the thermostat firmware and chosen platform.

Use the Matter setup code supplied with the thermostat and prepare the compatible controller required by your ecosystem.

Configure on the thermostat

  • Weekly program and manual operation
  • Temperature calibration and setpoint limits
  • Sensor selection for the heating application
  • Screen display and timing settings

Request the current ecosystem compatibility list and final sample specification. This page does not imply that all local functions are available in every Matter app.

1. Isolate & open

Switch off the supply and release the front panel as shown.

2. Wire & secure

Follow the correct configuration drawing and secure the rear housing in the wall box.

3. Refit & commission

Refit the front and lower clip. Restore power, configure the sensor and check heating operation before Matter pairing.

Check wall-box clearance and the mechanical drawing for the ordered version. The 60 mm figure is mounting-hole spacing, not the overall product size.

Check these details before ordering

Select the hydronic output configuration for the room’s actuator or wiring center. Match the control voltage and wiring diagram before installation; this thermostat does not directly control the water temperature in a manifold.

For an accurate sample recommendation

Please provide: actuator voltage, normally open / normally closed operation, wiring center and zone arrangement, destination country, preferred ecosystem and quantity.

BUYER GUIDE

Hydronic underfloor heating Matter thermostat questions

How do I choose NC or NO actuator wiring?

Match the wiring diagram to the actuator or valve type and the supplied thermostat version. NC and NO drawings are alternative examples; do not connect both. Confirm actuator voltage, switching current and control type before installation.

Does this thermostat regulate manifold water temperature?

This version controls room heating through compatible actuators or control wiring. It does not directly control the water temperature in a manifold. Confirm the wiring center and zone arrangement with the sample request.

What sensor information should I confirm for a hydronic zone?

The platform supports internal, external or combined sensor selection. The external sensor reference is NTC 10 kΩ at 25°C, B3950. Confirm the supplied sensor and floor-temperature limit for the installation and floor finish.

Does the housing color change the function?

No. Black, white, silver and gold are housing choices. Within the same heating configuration, hardware and software are the same.

Are all functions available through Matter?

No. Temperature and operating mode are the current integration focus. Local schedules, calibration, sensor choices and advanced settings must be checked on the supplied firmware.
